Widespread Processing Error May Impact Member Accounts
Duplicated ACH Transactions
On Tuesday, April 25, duplicated ACH files were processed by the FED. As a result, you may have seen invalid ACH debit and credit transactions posted to your account.
On Wednesday, April 26, the FED transmitted reversals to fix the processing error. Our team is reviewing the files to ensure there are no negative impacts to your account and that any erroneous fees are refunded.
Affinity Credit Union is not at fault and your personal information remains completely secure. This processing error was widespread and impacted customers across multiple financial institutions.
Check your accounts:
- If you see an unexpected ACH deposit, do not spend it.
- If you see an unexpected ACH withdrawal from your account, the transaction will be reversed, and the money will be returned to your account.
Please note, Affinity’s systems are working as intended and the issue is not within our processing control.
We will keep you updated as we learn more.
